FIRM HISTORY

Originally known as Seward, Tally,
Newcombe & Leaming, P.C., Seward,
Tally & Piggott, P.C., can trace its roots
back to 1976, when John Piggott
became a partner in the firm after 24
years of private practice. Later in 1976,
Mark Brissette joined the firm as an
associate attorney. Shortly thereafter,
Hon. John C. Leaming and Hon. Scott J.
Newcombe left for judicial positions in
the 74th District Court of Bay County.
The name of the firm was officially
changed to Seward, Tally & Piggott,
P.C., in 1977. John Morosi was hired in
1984, and Lew Seward joined shortly
after admittance to the State Bar of
Michigan in 1988. Ruth Noble was hired
by the firm in 1999, following a judicial
clerkship with Hon. William J. Caprathe
in the 18th Circuit Court of Bay County.
Today, Mr. Brissette, Mr. Morosi, Mr.
Seward, and Ms. Noble are the
managing partners of Seward, Tally &
Piggott, P.C.
